Peugeot 205 GTI 1.6, 1987 D reg. 2 owners from new, genuine milage, never rallied, raced .... or garaged, so the bodywork has suffered but not been messed with, this is a genuine standard car ideal for restoration, and still has a short MOT.
Peugeot 205 GTI 1.6 1986 C reg with factory sunroof and electric windows. Non Runner. Engine started last time I tried, but will not maintain revs. Some parts have been removed.
I have the following genuine Peugeot panels:- 724351 & 724353 Inner & outer Rear Panels. 7901C5 Bonnet. 852679 O/S/R Quarter Panel. 8701F5 Tailgate. 784172 O/S/F Wing. All have slight surface rust having been in unheated storage.
Ideally, I would like to sell as a complete lot.
We are your ‘one careful owner’ of a 205 XS, a Coventry Period Peugeot. We have been the proud owners of this little ‘charger’ for 28 years, bought from new in 1990. Currently the Peugeot is reading a low 108246 miles and is still being driven on a near daily basis on both long and short journeys.
She is in good condition inside and out, has a full service history covering 28 years, has never failed an MOT and is in possession of a current one which lasts until February 2019. She has never had a major accident or problem other than a new clutch in 2017.
We are looking for another careful owner who will hopefully keep her going as the classic car she truly is.
Telephone callers should leave a message and we will call you back.
This clean looking car has MOT (with advisories) until June 2019
Sale is reluctant, but is due to the need of a bigger car to accommodate two larger dogs.
It has been well looked after and is a good runner.
Bodywork is blue and in good condition.
It was used daily until quite recently prior to taking off road pending sale.
There are receipts for work carried out prior and after August 2011
Very rare 1938 202 Right hand drive convertible. Based on the 402 mechanics, with a few exceptions, this is one of the first models produced, as it has cable breaks, which were later replaced by an hydraulic system.
Imported from South Africa in 1988, the car has spent the later years in Ireland, before making its way across to a Peugeot fan in Scotland. Sadly, loss of storage space means that the car will need to find another loving home.
This car is in my local Peugeot Dealership, here in Central France, (I have a holiday home) it has been in the workshop for 25 Years. Everything is in working order, engine runs, bodywork in rot free condition, interior first class. It will need sympathetic refurbishing. The owner of the dealership, who owns the car, is open to sensible offers. I will negotiate on anyone’s behalf, please phone for more details.
This car has had one previous owner who sold it to me when it was one year old. At that point there was 7,000 miles on the clock. It was used on a regular basis from 1987 until 1995 by my wife and by then had 43,300 miles on the clock. From 1995 until 2016 the car was stored under cover and was then MOT’d. It remained under cover until June 2018 when it was given a new MOT and now ready for sale.
The car is completely standard with two exceptions; non Peugeot fog lamps (but brand new) and a stainless steel exhaust purchased in 1990 (I think). I have some history for the car, but not extensive. As you would imagine, there is some evidence of wear and tear. There are some small rust patches around the driver’s window and quarter light and where the windscreen meets the bonnet. In addition there is a slight dent on the front nearside wing and the alloy wheels are in fair to good condition. There is a small split in the rear plastic window and the tonneau is also present and in good condition. I am being as honest as I can with the description, but I would be happy to supply more details and photos of the car on request.
The car was taken off the road prior to the introduction of SORN and as such remains “un SORNed”. The V5 is present.
This delightful little car is in near excellent running condition. The body is very good with the novel staggered seating, with near new leather squabs, and mahogany dashboard and floorboards. Lovely brass instruments.
The transmission works as it should, 3 speed and reverse. Brakes and all suspension systems as well as wheel bearings have been replaced with new.
It recently climbed Shelsley Walsh, albeit somewhat slowly, how many Quadrilettes have done that?
All mudguards (fenders) and the original running boards are with the car and in the process of being fitted. They are in amazing, unrestored condition, could be “oily rag” or readily taken to as new.
As I have a passion for Peugeot options include part exchange for 504 pick up, (it would have to be very or better) and/or perhaps a Quadrilette chassis and front suspension
