For sale is my 1992 Peugeot 205 GTI 1. 6. It’s a non sunroof car with PAS which I’ve owned and daily driven for one year now. I’m only moving on due to finding another dream car of mine.
The is a car with a clean history having been serviced routinely throughout its history coming with a thick stack of service history and MOTs, then being serviced by Pug1Off in the last year. The car is, and has been, a reliable daily driver for me this past year having been used as my daily driver and only car. It starts on the button, never skips a beat, and is always a joy to pedal no matter what.
The car has never been in an accident or written off, but it has had paint in the past as you would expect with how easily these 90s red cars turn quite dull or even worse, pink or orange. The paint is quite nice all round apart from a few blemishes, there is a small dent on the roof from the previous owner who kept the car in his garage and something dropped on it. There are also small signs of wear on the seats but it is just some threads beginning to come loose, there are no tears in the fabric itself.
The previous owner undertook significant work to restore the boot floor and underside of the car which is a frequent failure point. This involved fresh brake lines, refreshed rear suspension and brakes, as well as a lick of red paint which looks the part even if it is underneath the car. Since then it has only gone through one winter with myself, however I made sure to regularly hose off any detritus every fortnight or so. They also replaced the valve stem seals which is another common issue of the XU engines, this fix is evident by the lack of blue smoke on startup, or ever! They did all this work themselves with their car garage hence no records of this work.
All four wheels are in great condition, the front two tyres were replaced in 2021 and the rears just this week.
