25th Anniversary Silver Jubille Rally
25th Anniversary Silver Jubilee Rally Sunday 10 September 2006
We still have some space available for this unique event and very much want you to join us.
Both Andrew Didlick (Director Public Relations) and the Managing Director of Peugeot UK have booked to attend and we expect some of our overseas friends from Internationals, too.
Phil Clatworthy has chosen this event to step down after 13 years as our first, and only, Club President and we hope you will want to help him bow out in style. Phil and Marilyn are founder members of the Club, and have occupied most committee posts at least once (though several considerably more than that) during this time.
The days events:
From 9.30am, meet at Ightham Mote, (approx 6 miles east of Sevenoaks in Kent) tea/coffee and biscuits on arrival, distribution of rally plates, packs etc.
10.30 - visit Igtham Mote and Gardens. Dating from 1320, this is reputedly the most complete small medieval manor house in the country, including a Grade I listed dog kennel! Access to the extensive gardens and woodlands is included. Followed by a run through the picturesque Kent countryside (route map will be provided) to: High Rocks Inn, near Tunbridge Wells for a Champagne Aperitif, followed by the Jubilee Celebration Lunch:
Starter: Smoked chicken salad.
Main: Best end of English lamb wrapped in puff pastry with spinach and Madeira sauce. Vegetarian option available.
Sweet: White / dark chocolate mousse with black cherries in raspberry Syrup.
Including approx½ bottle wine per person.
At £35 per person, this quality event is (heavily) subsidised by both Peugeot UK and the Club. If you can only make it in time for the Celebration Lunch and aperitif at 12.30pm, please make a note on the registration form (overleaf).
Closing date: all applications to be received by Wednesday 30 August at the latest.
We hope as many of you as possible will give your Peugeots an airing and come and help us celebrate in style!
I look forward to seeing you there
..
Paul Zickel
