Club Peugeot UK & Simca Club joint gathering at the Atwell-Wilson Motor Museum, Calne, Wiltshire.

Sunday April 30th. Organiser: Mat Tuck, for CPUK. Peter Brown-Rigg for Simca.

Following on from the much enjoyed National Rally at Kelmarsh Hall, Club Peugeot UK has teamed up with the Simca Club (Matra also very welcome!) to meet them and their cars at the Atwell-Wilson Motor Musuem. The museum is in Calne, Wiltshire only a few miles from the M4, making access easy for all.

The museum ( http://www.atwellwilson.org.uk ) was opened in its current halls in 1981, and over the years has grown thanks to the Lottery Hertitage Fund. The museum is the home to many rare vehicles of all types including cars, lorrys, fire engines, motorcycles and ….

Peugeot UK has donated to the museum two prototype Peugeot Electric vehicles, a 106 and a Partner van. The museum has kindly offered the use of its events field for special display parking of Peugeot and Simca visitors so we can expect a mini-national?? Further more the musuem has agreed to power up the Peugeot electrics and have them out of the museum in the events fields for members to ride in, explore under the bonnet and compare the differences between the conventional models. I'm sure you'll agree this is a rare opportunity to see these unique Peugeot vehicles in action first hand.

We have carefully chosen the date of 30th April, the Sunday of the bank holiday weekend to allow both Club's to come together, with plenty of time to enjoy a weekend break if so desired. Accomodation suggestions are available from the museum or organisers. If we have good interest then we will also organise a road run exploring some of the beautiful Wiltshire countryside.

The museum is 35 miles from Bristol, 97 from Central London and 97 from Central Birmingham. Click here for a map.
Please express your interest as soon as possible to make this join meet a sucess as part of the 25th Anniversary celebrations.

Contact : Mat Tuck.
Cost £3.00 per head. *** MEETING TIME 11.30 AM at the museum ***
