Obituary -Doug Corley
It is with great sadness that we have to record the passing of a great supporter of CPUK, Doug Corley, on the 12th April 2011, peacefully with his family by his side.
Doug was a very active member of the club attending many events in his beautiful 106 variants. Doug won the "Deidre Briggs" trophy for the best 106 model at our National event every year between 2003 and 2009.
Doug had to give up driving in the latter part of his life due to failing eyesight and his daughter Mary Player tells us that although he was in a hospice Doug was determined to fight to the last.
Mary also writes that her daughter Katherine has taken on Doug`s 106 Quicksilver and her youngest son Chris now owns Doug`s trophy winning green 106 diesel.
CPUK would like to pass on our sincere condolences to Doug`s family and know that he will be missed by his many friends in CPUK.
