CPUK National Rally celebrating 200 years of the Peugeot marque
Heritage Motor Centre, Banbury Road, Gaydon, Warwickshire CV35 0BJ
The 2010 National Rally will be held at the Heritage Motor Centre where we will be the feature Club at the Autumn Classic Day. The Heritage Motor Centre is home to the world's largest collection of over 250 British cars, ranging from the 1890s to the present. Other on-site attractions include the 4x4 school, go-karting and children's miniature roadway and playground. Easily accessible from the M40 (junc 12), Gaydon offers a great day out for everyone. With Peugeot Motor Company's support, we hope to make this THE day of UK celebrations marking the 200th anniversary of the company and aim to entice even more members to come along to the National Rally than ever before.
The rally will open at 10am and members should follow signs to the Southern Arena. Once there, come to the Peugeot tri-axle trailer to register and collect your welcome packs. Commemorative rally plates, free goodies and voting forms will be amongst the items included in these packs.
Entry to our National Rally is free and so participants can enjoy all the Peugeots and other cars attending the Autumn Classic Car Show without charge. However, if you want to go into the excellent museum, CPUK has negotiated special discounted rates of 5 GBP per person (under 5's free) for entry if paid for in advance. This is reduced from the normal 9 GBP admission price. In order to benefit from the reduced rate, members should send cheques payable to CPUK to Alison (contact details below): wristbands showing you have pre-paid entry will then be ready for collection in your rally pack on the day.
The day will include the chance to see a wide variety of vehicles - Peugeots as well as the museum displays. Members will also have the chance to vote for trophy winners, win raffle prizes, enjoy French food and drink and join in the autojumble. If you would like to have space for items of autojumble, please say so in advance.
Come along and join in Peugeot's 200th anniversary.
It is important to register for this event in advance as this allows me to have your rally 'goody' bag ready for you to collect on the day.
